Training Material

For a smooth, minimal-effort adoption of the Big Geo Data standards and the EarthServer platform, the consortium is providing dedicated training material.
Currently, a series of webinars explains OGC coverages, OGC WCS, OGC WCPS, and rasdaman. More material is being added continuously.

xWCPS 2.0 Language Webinar

xWCPS (XPath Enabled WCPS), is a Query Language (QL) defined in the context of EarthServer Project aiming to merge two widely adopted standards, namely XPath 2.0 because of its capabilities in XML (common metadata form) handling and WCPS's raster data processing abilities, into a new construct, which enables simultaneous processing of both coverage metadata and OGC coverage content.

OGC WCS tutorial

This tutorial provides (i) a general introduction to web standards for geospatial data and (ii) practical hands-on exercises how to access, retrieve and process data served with a WCS server.

INSPIRE conference workshop - Notebooks

This workshop has been developed for the INSPIRE Conference 2016 - Workshop #323. It provides an overview of two standard data-access protocols and showcases how a Web Coverage Service can be of benefit for Europe's geospatial data landscape. Hands-on training will be provided, showing how data can be accessed, processed and retrieved via a WC(P)S.
